Announcements and News from Google I/O Developer Conference 2012 Day 1

Hi if you are excited about the Google I/O developer conference day 1 as there was not too excitement as the techie geeks thought it was a simple event held which mainly announced some of its latest product which are to be launched


I came with the following list of Google announcements

  1. Announcement of Android 4.1 – Android Jelly Bean.
  2. Google Nexus 7 Tablet launch.
  3. Google Nexus Q Streaming Device Launch.
  4. Google Now and Google + Events.
  5. Google Glasses Demo and Explorer Edition Launch.

The 1st announcement of Android jelly bean might put you up on your toes as it has got some stunning features that the tech geeks love

has promised faster ways to search content on the Internet and share photos between two phones. The next version of Google's Android operating system for mobile devices was previewed at the Google's conference on 26th June at San Francisco .

Jelly Bean will be available in mid-July. Some devices - the Galaxy Nexus, Motorola Xoom and Nexus S - will get it automatically as an over-the-air update.Google's new tablet PC the Nexus 7 will also come with android 4.1 (jelly bean).

Google Inc is keeping its tradition of likening its updates to a delectable treat. Android is now the chief rival to the mobile software running Apple's iPhone and iPad.

The company said Google Now feature will get smarter as you use it more. It represents Google's response to Siri, the popular virtual assistant on Apple's iPhone.

Jelly Bean will also come with the ability to share photos by tapping two phones together, using an emerging wireless technology called near-field communications.

The current version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, has limited ability to share data through NFC. Samsung's new Galaxy S3 phone has a feature for sharing photos and video by tapping, but it works only with other S3 phones

The new Android also promises a smarter keyboard, with a feature for predicting your next word before you type.
